This is a club which has produced more international golfers, male and female alike, than almost any other Irish golf club. So there is a distinct feeling of tradition about the place.
The course is not a killer. It measures just 6,179 yards (5,704 metres), with a par figure of 69, but all of the fairways are tree-lined and accurate striking is called for.
Much of the attention has been paid to landscaping here and shrubbery's and flower beds enhance the approaches to many tees. The idea of that golf should be a pleasure; and the golfer here can enjoy looking down on the working city below as he/she indulges in the pursuit of par!
