Tour Operator & Trade Golf Tournament 2008’
Lee Valley Golf & Country Club, Cork, took the initiative and hosted a Tour Operator & Trade Golf Tournament on 28th July to showcase their beautifully maturing Golf Course and new Self Catering Holiday Homes.
Inviting members of the IGTOA, ITOA and Trade they created a Tournament to help promote Irish Golf to both the domestic and overseas markets. They entertained their guests and hosted a tremendous event helping to put Lee Valley firmly on the map for great value Irish Golf. The attendees, thanks to such an impressive field, also had the opportunity to network amongst themselves further promoting Irish Golf.
The day began with registration from 12.30pm, complimentary refreshments, goodie bags and tours of Farran Lee Holiday Homes. Golf commenced from 1.40pm with 52 golfers taking part. The field included representatives from many prestigious Golf Clubs, Tour Operators and Hotels. Journalists were also plenty. Golf was followed directly by an address from the Keohane Family and prize presentations. A BBQ of the highest standard was then served to the guests and music began.
