This is a gentle golfing test of most pleasurable nature. At 6,170 yards (5,695 metres) it is enjoyable by all standards of golfers and, by careful husbandry of handicap allowances. one can hope to match the par of 70.
Views of the Lee Estuary make the going all that more pleasant in visual terms and one can go through the round in eager anticipation of playing the 191 yards (176 metres) 16th with the lake on the right!
The course has just two par fives, both measuring well in excess of 500 yards (462 metres), and this has allowed a wiser use of ground to produce strong par threes and par fours.
