Trident Hotel Kinsale awarded 4 Star status

Management and Staff at the Trident Hotel, Kinsale recently celebrated the awarding of 4 Star classification by Failte Ireland.
The Trident is the first 4 Star Hotel in Kinsale, an accolade of which the owners are particularly proud given the standard of competition in the town. Managing Director, Hal McElroy said the award was a great boost for the hotel and all of the staff after many years of hard work and investment; and it comes at a particularly appropriate time given that the hotel is under the current ownership for the 20th year.
Originally built in 1966 the hotel has been completely redeveloped in recent years and now boasts 75 Bedrooms & Luxury Suites, an award-winning Restaurant, Bar, 4 Meeting Rooms plus a Conference and Banqueting Suite for up to 200 people. The hotel is now truly worthy of its spectacular location on the waterfront.
The hotel has a number of other reasons to celebrate this year; in March ‘07 at the CIE National Awards of Excellence the hotel received a special Merit Award for Accommodation having consistently scored satisfaction ratings in excess of 90%. In May the hotel received a Silver Award and was Highly Commended at the Green Failte Awards (these recognise efforts made by businesses to reduce waste and water usage and contribute to a more environmentally friendly Ireland). Finally the hotel was awarded a Velum Award by the RNLI for the support shown to the Institute over the years.
